Disclaimer
Motorsport is dangerous. Vehicle setup changes affect how your vehicle behaves, including at the limit of grip and beyond it.
Cranky Old Bastard Motorsport ("COBMS") provides automated, advisory setup suggestions generated by deterministic rules (the "Mu Works Optimization Engine"). Suggestions are starting points and educated adjustments, not engineering advice, and are provided for closed-course competition use only — never for public roads.
- You are solely responsible for your vehicle, your safety inspection, your driving, and every change you apply.
- Verify all tire pressures against your tire manufacturer's guidance. COBMS enforces conservative floors and ceilings in its math, but the manufacturer's numbers control.
- Suggestions are generated from the information you enter. Wrong inputs produce wrong advice. Inspect your car; the engine cannot see a torn tire, a blown shock, or a loose lug nut.
- Engine content is community-derived and marked as pending expert review. Treat every suggestion with the skepticism you'd give advice from a fast guy in grid — which is what it is.
By using COBMS you accept all risk arising from your use of its suggestions. See the Terms of Service for the full assumption-of-risk and limitation-of-liability provisions.
